Nevada Countertop Companies and Fabricators

Nevada: The "Silver State", entered the Union on October 31, 1864 to become the 36th state. It is also known as the "Sagebrush State".  The U.S. obtained the region in 1848 following the Mexican War. Because Nevada became a state during the Civil War, it is also known as the "Battle Born State".
In 1859 Nevada was made famous by the discovery of the Comstock Lode, one of the richest gold and silver mines ever found.

Construction worker "hard hats" were first invented in 1933 specifically for the workers on Hoover Dam.

The people of  Nevada need countertops too, and there are plenty of places to supply them! You can find a list of countertop businesses in Nevada here.

Design & Construction Week Updates

Design & Construction Week in Las Vegas included the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), the International Builders Show (IBS) and The International Surface Event (TISE) that includes StonExpo, Tile Expo and Surfaces from January 19 - 22.

Although attending the shows was a lot of work (and a lot of walking), it was well worth the time and energy. The information gathered for both CountertopResource.com and our new sister publication GreenSurfaceResource.com and the connections made were invaluable.

This year, while at the show we provided daily updates of some of the more interesting finds, including new products, seminars and personalities we came across at the show...Read all about the great happenings here.

Montana Countertop Companies and Fabricators

Montana: Became the 41st state on November 8, 1889. Nicknamed the "Treasure State", the importance of mining in the state is reinforced with the motto "Oro y Plata" (Gold and Silver).
Fort Benton, built in 1847 along the Missouri River by the American Fur Company, is the state's oldest continuously populated town.

When 99-99.5 percent pure gold was found in Grasshopper Creek in Bannack in 1862, it led to the greatest rush to the West since the California gold rush in 1848.

46 out of Montana's 56 counties are considered "frontier counties" with an average population of 6 or fewer people per square mile.

Missouri Countertop Comapnies and Fabricators

Missouri: Know as the "Show Me" state. This expression may have begun in 1899 when Congressman Willard Duncan Vandiver said, "I'm from Missouri and you've got to show me."
In 1812 Missouri was organized as a territory and later admitted as the 24th state on August 10, 1821.
Among the early immigrants to St. Louis were Adolphus Busch and Eberhard Anheuser, who helped make brewing a national industry. Anheuser-Busch brewery is now the largest beer producing plant in the country.
Kansas City has more miles of boulevards than Paris and more fountains than any city except Rome.
