Mississippi: The "Magnolia State" became the 20th state on December 10, 1817. Spanish explorer, Hernando de Soto, discovered the Mississippi River in 1540. The region was later claimed by France. In 1699, a French group established the first permanent settlement near present-day Ocean Springs. Natchez was settled by the French in 1716 and is the oldest permanent settlement on the Mississippi River. Natchez once had 500 millionaires, more than any other city except New York City.
The people of Mississippi need countertops too, and there are plenty of places to supply them! You can find a list of countertop businesses in Mississippi here.
This is a sneak peek at our efforts to compile the most complete list of countertop fabricators in the United States from A to Z. We will be working on Missouri next and hope to give you a look at that list as soon as its available. And you will find it here first.
